Stained glass in our church. I do not have much more to say about this photo.

Monday, 08/10/2026: Posted photo — Leading Lines.

The theme for my photo project was leading lines. The dock in the photo leads you out to the lake.

Tuesday, 08/11/2026: Posted photo — Nesting Robin.

This robin has a nest at our cottage. This is the third year in a row that it used this nest.

Wednesday, 08/13/2026: Posted photo — Partial Solar Eclipse.

There was a partial solar eclipse today. We had only about 18% coverage. When I woke up the weather was predicted to be partially cloudy. I glad it was not at the time of the eclipse. I stepped out of the office to take this photo.

Thursday, 08/13/2026: Posted photo — Thurmond Station.

Thurmond Station is in New River Gorge National Park and Preserve in WV. Thurmond was once among the greatest railroad towns along the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway. The historic Thurmond Depot has been restored by the National Park Service and now serves as a park visitor center.

Friday, 08/14/2026: Post photo — Acorn.

This 10-foot-tall, 1, 250-lb. copper and steel sculpture was commissioned for Raleigh’s bicentennial in 1992. Dedicated to John Watkins, it is located at Raleigh City Plaza.

Saturday, 08/15/2026: Post photo — Ocracoke Lighthouse.

The Ocracoke Lighthouse is in Ocracoke Village at the southern end of Cape Hatteras National Seashore.
